Run Validation Risk Students {SSTUDTO-1}

This option is used to run the Student Tracking Evaluation. The evaluation is done per procedure as defined on {SSTUDTM-3}. The individual rules for each procedure is defined in the package ist1pkg.sql.

 Prerequisites to use this option:

System Operational Definitions on {SMNT-12} required:

System Administrator role Code 'DA' and Subsystem 'SR' STS Administrator to indicate who is allowed to run the risk evaluation and receive communication on errors.
Finance Risk Communication Type Main Reference, 'TF' for Subsystem 'SR' to receive detail on financial issues.
Credit Type to be used  (I)nternal, (N)ational, (S)tats , 'CD' for Subsystem 'SR', to determine which credit type must be used in the evaluation of the Academic: Subject FTE Greater Than (Barrier) procedure.
Role code for risk type A and Qualification Level Risk, 'QR' for Subsystem 'SR', to indicate the personnel to be assigned to the the student on Qualification Type Risks.
Role code for risk type S and Lecturer Level L,'JL' for for Subsystem 'SR', to indicate the personnel to be assigned to the the student on Junior Lecturer issues.
Role code for  ALL S types(Socio), 'SE' for Subsystem 'SR', to indicate the personnel to be assigned to the the student, on Socio Risk issues.
Roles defined for personnel on {SSTUDTM-1} for the level on which the person is allowed to run evaluation. The user role may be linked to Email Y/N and or SMS Y/N, to determine if the personnel linked on an evaluation run must receive email and or SMS.

Risks defined on {SSTUDTC-3} and linked to {SSTUDTM-3} and set active.

Sort Order Per Comments
  If user prints the report in (D)etail then sort per Faculty/ Department/ Campus/ Student numerically.  
If the user prints the report in (S)ummary then sort per Faculty/ Department/ Campus/ Risk/ Total.


System Select  
  Records to be Included:

Students found at risk on any of the active risks as linked on {SSTUDM-3}.

If the personnel running the Risk Evaluation report is a System Administrator and is linked to:

  • (I)nstitution Level on {SSTUDTM-1} , then all the students at risk will be
  • (F)aculty Level on {SSTUDTM-1, then only the students for that Faculty that he/she is linked will be selected.
  • (D)epartment Level on {SSTUDTM-1}, then only the students for the Department that he/she is linked will be selected.
If the parameter Include/Exclude Risk with Closed Status = (I)nclude, then enter the risk code or all and select the student for the risk linked to a status closed with a risk.
Records to Excluded:

  1. Students not matching on a risk defined
  2. Students matched linked to a Faculty/ Department for which the personnel running the evaluation has no access as system administrator.
  3. If the student is already linked to the Risk for the input year or if the student is already identified with the risk status code (C)losed for a particular risk code and the program was ran for parameter 'Include/Exclude Risk with Closed is (E)xclude
  4. If the personnel running the Risk Evaluation report is not linked to a System Administrator role, an error message "Personnel not allowed to run validation. See SMNT-12 SOD DA for SR for system adm role and SSTUDTM-1 for roles/personnel link." will be displayed.
  5. Possible error/warning massages:
  • The Administrator SOD(DA/SR) role type is not specified.
  • The Finance SOD (TF/SR) role type is not specified
  • The Lecturer SOD (JL/SR) role type is not specified.
  • The Qualification SOD (QR/SR) role type is not specified
  • The Personnel number is not linked on {SSTUDTM-1} for year entered for the administrator role as defined on {SMNT-12} SOD DA/SR.
  • The Socio SOD (SE/SR) role type is not specified.
  • The Personnel number is not in service.
  • The Department is invalid for personnel number.
  • The Personnel member is not linked on {SSTUDTM-1} to the requested faculty.
  • The Faculty and Department combination is invalid.
  • The validation code has no risk code linked to it on {SSTUDTM-3}.
  • The validation FIN_BALANCE has no balance linked to it.  Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
  • The validation FIN_PERC has no % linked to it.  Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
  • The validation NOT_GRAD has no risk code linked to it.  Please  add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
  • The validation FAILASS_MIN has no minimum linked to it.  Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
  • The validation FULL_LESS_BARRIER has no minimum linked to it.  Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
  • The validation FTE_BARRIER has no value linked to it.  Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
  • The validation JUNIOR_LECT has no subject level linked to it. Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
  • The validation FEED_SCHOOL has no schools linked to it. Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.  
  •  The validation CREDITF has no credit type linked to it. Please add a barrier or set the rule to inactive.
